What made you decide to be a spirit medium, anyway? Humans choose their jobs, right?

Well.. normally, kinda. But for me, it's in my blood. The women in my family have been mediums for generations, so I'm just continuing the tradition.

Oh. Well I guess that's sort of like me, then. I'll inherit the responsibilities of my ancestor once my tree is fully grown.

Well it's the responsibility of the tree spirit in any forest to protect that forest and the other ayakashi and animals that live in it! So a lot of what that entails is dealing with humans who are threatening the ayakashi.
